Fire Safety Courses

Chief Fire Warden

Participants will develop skills to ascertain the extent of onsite workplace emergencies and supervise evacuation of the workplace. Particular attention will be placed on meeting the requirements of Australian Standard 3745-2010: Planning for emergencies in facilities and how it applies to all workplaces. Participants will have an understanding of emergency procedures and will undergo extensive practical drills on controlling workplace emergencies.

This training course includes both a theory and a practical component to ensure that your employees can safely handle workplace emergencies. If required a Fire Safety Training can visit your workplace to determine your fire safety equipment and training needs. Fire & Safety Australia can also provide you with supervised Evacuation Drills.

Fire Safety Advisor

Our Fire Safety Advisor training course will equip your personnel with the skills required to act as a Fire Safety Advisor during day to day matters and also during an on-site emergency. This course will provide participants with the relevant knowledge, skills and abilities required to become a Fire Safety Adviser (FSA). To qualify as a FSA, a person must successfully complete eight (8) specified units of competency.

Fire Safety Advisor Refresher

Participants gain the skills and knowledge needed to actively continue in their role and responsibilities of a Fire Safety Adviser in accordance with the Queensland Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 and addresses recent amendments to the legislation. The Fire Safety Adviser will be able to advise on appropriate emergency planning strategies and be familiar with aspects of building fire safety.

Inspect & test fire hose reels, fire blankets & fire extinguishers

This training course includes both the theory and practical component required to inspect and test fire hose reels, fire extinguishers and fire blankets as part of routine testing and inspections, as well as identify where repairs or replacements are required to be performed / installed by licensed trades or occupations. Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and Industry sectors.
