Occupational First Aid
This course takes participants to a higher level of training and is designed for First Aiders to manage patient care until the arrival of an Ambulance during complex incidents and emergencies. Many practical exercises are included as part of the training. This training course involves the completion of 3 full days of training (provided that a First Aid Course has been completed within the last 3 years – Otherwise the duration is 4 days).
Provide CPR
This course provides participants with the confidence and competence required to perform CPR on an unconscious casualty. The training course is taught according to the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This course takes personnel through both the theory of why we do CPR and many practical exercises that emphasise the 'how' we perform CPR.
Provide First Aid
This unit deals with the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty and applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings. This course is taught by highly experienced emergency services instructors who have a strong background in Emergency Medical Response. Many practical exercises are included as part of the training.
