Undertake Vertical Rescue
Students who are required to undertake vertical rescue operations as a member of a rescue team.

Please note: it would be beneficial for participants to have experience and/or training Working Safely at Heights.
Our nationally accredited Vertical Rescue Course is designed for personnel who may be required to perform rope rescues to rescue injured personnel. This training course is taught by experienced emergency services instructors who will perform rescue scenarios that are relevant to our clients sites and is very ‘hands on’ with 75% of the time being ‘on ropes’ and performing rescue scenarios. Various types of equipment can be covered depending on the complexity of the types of rescue methods applicable at the site. Training and course subjects will be completely tailored to the requirements of the worksite. Following the training course, all competent personnel shall be capable of responding and controlling various on-site rope rescue emergencies as this training program is rescue focused and not designed for general "working at heights" workers

Students learning outcomes will be assessed using practical activities designed to simulate emergency situation and written questions as appropriate. Assessment of this competency requires access to an appropriate training/venue for vertical rescue activities.
Classroom theory via PowerPoint presentations, including audio-visual material, practical desktop activities and discussion. Practical components using vertical rescue equipment in a range of vertical rescue simulated scenarios.
