This course is for Elected Health and Safety Representatives in their second year of term.



Pre-entry Requirements:
Participants must have previously completed the Initial SA HSR 5 day training course.

This SafeWork SA accredited Level Two refresher 3 day Health and Safety Representative (HSR) Training Course aims to add and extend to the range of skills and knowledge acquired in the 5 day Initial Level 1 course. An important feature of the course design is the flexibility of topics to enable participants to select areas directly relevant to their workplace experience.


The course content covers:

  • Principles and practices of a systematic approach to managing and controlling multiple WHS risks.
  • Responsibilities and duties of PCBU’s, officers, supervisors and contractors in the context of multiple PCBU’s, hazards risks and shared duties.
  • Identifying various elements of the Due Diligence requirements of PCBU’s and officers associated with managing specific and multiple hazards in a shared work environment.
  • Participate in and contribute to developing an action plan/s for eliminating or controlling and monitoring specific and multiple hazards and risks in a shared work environment.

This course is delivered by NSCA.

Unit of Competency

Certificate of Attendance will be issued to successful students on completion of course.

There is no formal assessment as part of this course. Upon successful completion, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance.

Delivery Method:
Training will be delivered within a public training facility utilising theory and practical activities. Delivery will include instructor led presentations / scenarios.
